Summer Sixers, PG Hurt, Introspective Joel, What a Week!
Zo wraps up a week of far more Sixers content than we're currently comfortable with.
Team Ricky Rundown
A very special guest, your guy (Me) joined Mike to talk Summer Sixers likes/dislikes, PG Injury (Summer knees are none of our business) and Joel Embiid ESPN tell-all.
The guys dissect Daryl’s comments on current team structure and also discuss whether or not VJ will have two fully functioning hands during his Sixer tenure.
MOC surveys the land post-free agency frenzy and asks, is this what we’re rolling with?
MOC also goes deep on his reaction to the most intense profile of Joel Embiid we’ve ever seen.
Sixers around the League
Come on, you knew what the first one was going to be.
In a story full of so much depth, probably the four biggest headlines I’d take away as well.
Podcast P would NOT pick the Hornets as a free agent because they lack a winning culture. Buddy, wait till you hear this..
I hate to ever agree with Kendrick Perkins on anything, seriously. However, Rich Paul taking an extra hard look at what’s going on in Morey country has absolutely crossed my mind this summer.
A lot, rightfully, being said about PG and Joel and respective health — but another caveat, as if this team needed more, would be counting on Tyrese Maxey returning to his much more efficient 2023/24 form.
5 For the Road
Interesting how deep the Joel/Sixers trust fracture is and makes you wonder if anything outside of a championship means this ends on a happy note.
Eric Gordon was/is the rat. I stand on that.
What if one of Jo’s 9,000 unread texts is an invite from Mike Scott to join the Mike Scott Hive.
Danny Green went on All the Smoke in May and was asked about Joel’s injury history and essentially said he thinks Jo needs to incorporate more strength training for his legs and overall body. After reading that ESPN article, I can definitely see that discussion being much more complicated than just putting two 45’s on the bar and having a trainer count.
Paul George hurting his knee anytime between June-End of August has nothing to do with me. Not till September at least. Godspeed.
