Johni Broome shot 40.9% on unguarded catch and shoot 3 attempts apparently (AI cited a Substack author I have never heard of so I can’t vouch for its authenticity). Considering he shot 31% overall I haven’t crunched the numbers but based on how percentages work generally his guarded catch and shoot % can’t be good.

I dunno, you watch someone like Hansen Yang playing with poise and skill and teammates raving about how fun it is to play with him, and the excuses from some Sixers homers (not you guys) about how Broome isn’t playing with any playmakers seem kind of weak. His strengths were supposed to be his ability to dominate less experienced players and his elite big man passing skills and this was supposed to hopefully offset his well chronicled weaknesses. Where is the confidence of having faced at beat down most of this rookie class and the second tier prospects that make up most of the SL players? Where is the supposedly elite passing out of the post?

He doesn’t have to be good in his first SL, but when he’s as old or older than some guys going into their fourth NBA season he should be showing some flashes of proof of concept.
