The NBA has a problem. It’s dying and killing off those that love the game. The NBA is an awful product. The Sixers were out played in every aspect of last night’s game. Not a single highlight but with all that said the NBA has lost its way. It created this monster. The rules don’t allow for the natural masculine game. It placates to an anti-physical defensive style. Offensively, players can push off and elbow with no call while the defender is neutered. The balance of power to offense is so lopsided that it has created a game that is unwatchable, anti physical and anti-basketball. The league will slowly die because it created a lopsided rules set that has made it unwatchable and unfair. Brown and Tatum pushed off and elbowed while the foul went to the defender. This is an absolute joke and has become the norm. On top of that, the Tatum and Brown type has basically replaced what the center did 30 years ago, which is collapse the defense. This has happened, because a defender can’t touch a ball handler going to the hoop. It has led to off ball players sitting at spots and never moving, leading to 60 3 pointers. It’s actually hurting Tatum’s ability to match up against the all time Greats, because he just lobs 3s at a rate that the Greats would laugh at. The rules have to be rebalanced that allow for defenders slow ball handlers without getting hit with a ticky tack foul. Silver needs to be replaced asap and the rules changed to be more suited for men, who are natural physical competitors or the game will die.
