One More Taunt & Then We're Done Talking About James Harden: The Week in Ricky
Zo's weekly roundup also includes a couple takes on the Knicks being up 2-0 on Boston.
Week in Team Ricky
Monday is either going to be amazing or amazingly awful. The Danny does a deep dive into the Sixers’ top-six draft history.
Well he’s a man of his word if nothing else. The long-promised Return of Morey.
Harden & Simmons (DNP-CD) Out of the Playoffs. A hater’s bliss.
Four playoff thoughts from MOC, one of which, is that, for the 100th year, we just need fucking guys, man.
Sixers have had measurable success recently with second round picks, and the Danny offers some solutions to sorely needed wing help in the form of guys who should be there when the time comes (Rasheer Fleming Supremacy!)
Sixers around the Web
Old School Chevy staying put... LOL
Our guy Yabu! Such a great ancillary player who had a great year and now obviously the Sixers will have steep competition in retaining his services.
We got our good luck charm for the lottery, maybe?
The Sixers have a massive interest in what happens to the Clippers and the suddenly very long in the tooth Harden and Leonard tandem in these next two seasons.
Tyrese Haliburton (slightly less overrated now) credits his immunity to rejection to his relationship with Joel Embiid — who has been frequently imploring him to shoot more during these playoffs. (Joel has a ton of experience clamoring for guys to shoot more, so.)
Five for the Road
The Sixers have the craziest lottery luck, but what I finally thinks happens is the pick lands top three, and Daryl Morey has some hard thinking to do.
I’m not as hype as others to potentially trade it, though. I still believe in the idea of getting guys and relying on your coaching staff to make it work. But… I would damn sure dangle this and see what it can get you as the third team in any Durant/Giannis/Whomever else sweepstakes.
If it stays at 5, RUN that pick to Dave Silver and announce Tre Johnson.
Jalen Brunson is a fucking flamethrower in crunch time, good grief.
Knicks being up 0-2 then losing this series in 6 or 7 would be the most Sixersy thing in history, so AU is maybe onto something.
