Help Me Save Homeless Dogs and Cats (Again)
How can you say no to their little faces.
I know what you’re thinking — “you’re doing this again?” Yes, I’m sorry.
Ever since my wife and I adopted Rebel 11 years ago (and then Scotchie now almost two years ago), I have been passionate about animal rescue. I am forever grateful for the kind and passionate people who work at animal shelters and help make this happen.
I am running (going to try) in the Brandywine Valley Walk For Paws on April 25th. I don’t have my own team (more on that later), but I am raising money. I’d like to raise $5,000, and we’re about $1570 there so far. If you can, a donation or even joining our team is something I’d appreciate, and you can do it here.
As I mentioned previously, I do not have a Ricky team, as I’m on someone else’s team. A Malvern student named Alex Flowers created an Instagram page, and now a budding organization called Their Best Day Ever, and I joined his team. The goal being to give sick or senior dogs an amazing day to remember, before they cross the rainbow bridge. The IG page will really make your eyes well up with tears. I connected with Alex last year, and he said he was having some trouble partnering with shelters because he was underage. I was able to connect him with my wife at BVSPCA and he’s done so many great things since.
Alex is doing so many great things, that I decided to be a part of his team and help him raise money.
Again, we’d love to have you on the team, but if you’ve got an extra $5, or $10, or $20, or $2,000 that would be great too.
Thanks again for humoring me and for all of the donations over the years.
Spike
