Some Quick Thoughts
-Boy that fucking sucked. I'm done with the grieving stage and just in the apathetic stage. Trying my best to muster up the courage to trust Daryl Morey to turn in a great summer while also preparing for James Harden to be a Sixer until he's 37.
-I was prepared for anything, mostly for a loss because well, that's what recent history has taught us, but wasn't prepared for HOW it came. Wasn't prepared for Joel to be shellshocked. I think he absolutely deserved MVP, that's great and all, but at this moment I'm tasked with having to reconcile multiple years of playoff inadequacy and I'm far from there yet, enjoy summer man.

I wish I could tell you all when and where we'll finally reach the mountain top but I'm grateful we're riding together.

We are getting the shit kicked out of us right now. The national sports talk shows, the local sports talk shows (hi dad), FUCKING TWITTER. I have some bad news for you, we simply must take it right now. You don’t have to listen to all of it, but you do have to take it. All of it. Must show the sort of restraint we’ve never, as a people, shown before.
Embiid isn’t as good as Jokic.

A bunch of different folks insisted yesterday that I have to listen to Mike Lombardi on the Bill Simmons podcast talk about what’s wrong with the Sixers culture, and roast him. Now first of all, there is no way I’m listening to that. Just not happening. I’d rather dip my dick in scolding hot oil than listen to that. But that said, I simply can’t defend the Sixers in any way right now, and neither should you. Is Mike Lombardi probably full of shit? Yes. But he’s still righter than we are right now.
Jokic fans tweeting at you that Embiid’s MVP is a pity MVP and he shouldn’t be mentioned in the same breath as Jokic? The Process was always a scam, it was never going to work, Howard Eskin is bragging? Must let him have his moment. Got to swallow it. Daryl is just an NFT loving hump that only knows how to put the old Rockets team together? Simply must take it (this might be us saying it in the first place). If you will not log off, which I know you will not, it’s best we just take our medicine.
Have we always been right? Absolutely. Are we wrong as fuck right now? Yes. And every time you fight back, about Embiid, about Hinkie, about ‘The Process,’ you just make it harder for the rest of us. As AU said in his article earlier this week, we’ve just got to hold the L.
It’s going to be The Summer Of Humble for all of us. We’ve written a lot of annoying checks over the last ten years that the Sixers and Joel Embiid simply couldn’t cash. Rent’s due.
