The Opening Tip
Hello & Happy Thursday - It's the Corner Three!
Oh Yeah, The Sixers
All is (oddly) quiet on Sixers and league front as we all wait for the KD and now Donovan (Windy was right!) Mitchell shoes to drop and open up the second wave of pre-training camp madness.
Perfect time to rank my top Summer Sixers!
1. Michael Foster
My man pots and pans. Played so well that he earned himself an exhibit 10 deal (non-guaranteed deal but opportunity to play with the blue coats). Still raw in some areas as you'd expect but insanely athletic, runs the floor really well and is an amazing shot-blocker. Paul Reed and Charles Bassey look to be the main men behind Joel Embiid this season so Foster ideally have more than enough time to polish and work on some things down in Delaware.
2. Charlie Brown Jr.
My man Chuck. Liked him last year, LOVE him this year. Disruptive and long on defense, showing off a nice floater, hitting the corner three, and even showcasing a tighter dribble. He just exudes the kind of attitude that a team that now includes the likes of PJ Tucker and D'Anthony Melton wants. In other words, CBJ, got that dog (boat) in him.
3. Isaiah Joe
Feel so dirty even writing this and won't even say much except Goddamnit please give him more minutes. I'm fine being in the minority on this one but I'd much rather try to grow another bomber (miss you, love you, Brett) in him than shoot for a proposed Reggie Bullock or guy of that tier trade. Happy to be proven wrong, AFTER my dude has gotten his fair shake.
Our Guys
We're on the verge of absolute NBA chaos again but AU has just one simple ask for the Sixers when the storm flips: Stay the course!
Mike O'Connor wrapped up the offseason (so far).
Sponsor Corner
It's time to get married. You know it's finally time. Just reach out to LL Pavorsky and set up an appointment to get a ring.
If you've decided to take the plunge and buy a house, unless you're Michael Rubin, you'll need a mortgage to buy it. The best way to get the best rate, but also have someone who can explain to you how a mortgage works, and works for YOU not the lender, you've got to reach out to MortgageCS. Check out this sweet Ricky site they made for us, and then make an appointment to talk with them. Or just text their CEO Ben at 267-391-7425.
