The Opening Tip
Happy Thursday, It's the Corner Three!
Oh baby, let's get going!
Providence Animal Center saves the lives of thousands of homeless dogs and cats every year. Our goal is to raise $15,000 for them with our Bark In The Park team, as we do every year. The event is October 23rd, and you can join the team or donate right here. Of course, we always have a stupid shirt. Join the team and raise at least $75 and get the stupid shirt to the left, with a doggie hall of fame list on the back.
Oh Yeah,The Sixers
If you've been sleep, dead, or have a fulfilling life that doesn't require sports or anything of the sort, I'm very jealous, and let me catch you up quick:
The Philadelphia basketball 76ers at one point last season were frontrunners to land, THE James Harden, with a package that included one, Ben Simmons. Deal fell through, Harden is a Brooklyn Net (Fuck me right?) and Simmons finished the season helping the Sixers flameout in incredible fashion in the 2nd round against the Atlanta Hawks. Offseason comes and it's pretty much a horribly kept secret that Sixers/Simmons divorce is on the way and at this point probably best for all parties.
Fast forward to this week where it has been reported that Simmons told Sixers brass face to face that he has no desire to be a Sixer any longer and will not be present for training camp after they flew out to court him one last time. Throw in a article about the Sixers having to choose between Ben & Joel Embiid because they hate each other and voila, normal Sixers offseason!
In Summation
Please fucking trade him man. My family and my mailman who wears Sixers socks (What up Phil) don't deserve this.
The Rest From The Best
Sixers Adam has ten teams who might want to trade for Ben Simmons.
A public trade request is wild, theatric and obviously part of the game, but what got us here and how many fingers should Ben Simmons be pointing back at himself? Mike O'Connor with a classic.
Probably a 85% chance this doesn't happen now, but just in case 25 is on the opening night roster, Andrew Unterberger has all the direction we need on how to embrace the toxicity.
