THE STORY

Before I get to the story, the Only Rockets Podcast shirts are $10 (you have to buy at least one other item), available right now at Kinetic Skateboarding, and 100% of the proceeds go to the American Transplant Foundation. The proceeds are going there in honor of an beloved member of the Kinetic family, James Williams, who passed away in 2019 and was the recipient of a heart transplant. James was only 28 years old.

Look, the bubble was terrible. The Sixers were terrible in the bubble. The vibes, the play, it was all bad. We were in a bad place, and had just had Daryl Morey, then GM of the Rockets on the pod, and we knew we'd need someone to root for.

So we committed on the podcast to becoming a Rockets podcast during the playoffs after the Sixers were eliminated. Mike quickly decommitted when the Sixers lost, committing to the Lakers (where he is still secretly committed).

I got excited, got 100 of these shirts made up, Danuel House got kicked out of the bubble and the Rockets lost immediately. They lost so quickly that I sent one of these shirts to Daryl Morey in the bubble but he was definitely gone by the time it got there. Who knows, maybe Jimmy Butler has it now stashed in his closet with a bunch of his fake coffee stuff.
