Let's get into it!

Oh Yeah,The Sixers
A mixed bag of a week, but the number one seed in the East found out a little bit more about itself in a very very tough fought win over the defending champion Lakers and turned a few heads in doing so. I couldn't be more happy for them. May be a bit longer until we find out just how good they actually are etc. but last night they were better than the West's top seed and that's all that matters.

Shoutouts!
Joel Embiid
The big dog continues to eat. Some dominant outings over the past week including 33 and 14 in the first of a two game series against the Pistons. He didn't have his very best against the Lakers but he came up more than big before being slowed by a back injury suffered thanks to a nasty fall after a Lebron James flagrant (dick).
Tobias Harris
The dude is a completely different player. Shooting 51% from the field, averaging 19 and 7 and added a game winner over Catholic League point guard Alex Caruso last night. Doc Rivers deserves major credit for whatever he told Tobi to do (or not do) because quick thinking Tobias is a different player than what we seen at the start of the season and most of last year and should absolutely be in the mix for an all-star spot.
Ben Simmons
Slow start to the season be damned, he looked his best (offensively) last night for sure. Attacking down hill, freight train on the secondary break and quick with his decision making. Took his lumps early guarding Lebron but wasn't too shabby on defense either. Hopefully this was the springboard he needed to get the whole thing going.
Week Ahead
The good guys will get their first stab at the struggling Timberwolves on Friday and will mosttt likely or should be, without the services of Joel Embiid if the team opts to give him an extra day of rest for his soon to be very sore back, they then tangle with the Pacers on Sunday and wrap up the week with the Hornets and Blazers before their first date with the Nets and their *sigh* Big 3. All very winnable games but this team without Embiid is a fucking sore for sight eyes so let's hope 21 is in good spirits and good health.

This Week In The Pod
We have simply always believed in Tobias Harris. A new pod about Tobi's big shot, and Mike awarding a shocking By Nature Soft Shit Award.
The NAPA trip, finally? Ben Simmons continues to ramp it up, Joel Embiid continues to eat worlds and they both gush about each other. Spike and Mike also dip into the mailbag, compare these Sixers to Doc's Celtics and share some listener roommate stories.
The Rest From The Best
Alot of season left and Sixers Adam is already mailing it in, it's mailbag time!
For a team that has been doing so much winning, there's still plenty of questions, because of course, it's the Sixers. The best O'Connor, Mike O'Connor, that is, offers up his thoughts on Ben Simmons righting the ship on a slow start, Joel Embiid's MVP chances and the rise of Shake Milton.
They passed their first real test of the season (with some bumps and one big ass bruise) but we'll probably need justttt a bit more to figure out just how good the Sixers actually are. Andrew Unterberger gives his take and overview on the current kings of the east.
Peace, Love and Process
