The Opening Tip
Hello and Happy Thursday, it's the Corner Three!
As the world turns, Jimmy Butler is in the Finals, Bad Things Happen in Philadelphia, baby Arthur is here and the Sixers are telling everyone what prospects they like and how much they like them.
#EverybodyGottaGo
Let's roll!

This Week In The Pod
Did you know you can watch them all on a new Ricky YouTube channel? It's got video versions of all of the pods, plus highlights. You know, if you're into shit like that.
It looks like... Doc Rivers? Spike and Mike talk about the big meeting between Doc Rivers, Josh Harris and David Blitzer and Rivers as Sixers coach. Then they bring on comedy writer and #2 podcaster Doug Mand to settle the sitting vs. standing debate once and for all.
The guys discuss Sixers front office movement and lack thereof, examine how we should proceed if the status quo holds, and celebrate dad Embiid!

BIG BOTTLE
If you're gonna watch Jimmy in the Finals you'll need this.1.75 litres! THE MAGNUM! They've got Philly delivery and pickup at their website, and you can also get MAGNUM at Fine Wine & Spirits and all those spots in Jersey and Delaware.
Oh Yeah,The Sixers
On the front office "Evaluation":
49 Days until the NBA Draft and the entire front office that was ripe for change according to GM Elton Brand a whole month ago, is still perfectly intact. Maybe they are still deep diving, maybe they are waiting for us to forget, or maybe they were talking out of their asses. It's a fun game!
On the coaching search:
And then there were THREE. Smart money was on the little front office that could deciding on Mike D'Antoni or Ty Lue for it's head coaching position and then Monday afternoon a Clippers size bombshell hit and Doc Rivers is a free agent. Doc was supposedly in town yesterday for a sit down with the whole family and probably a tour of Josh Harris' quiet room or some shit. A decision is probably coming before this week is out and although I've had an itch that Lue was the guy, I think Doc is 1A to his 1. And if Elton Brand really is intent on giving the Simmons/Embiid marriage all the help it needs to succeed, a coach known for managing multiple types of personalities and skillsets may be proper medicine.
On the draft:
As promised, I have for you lovely guys and gals the first installment of "This guy would work!" Bane, Desmond Bane, who ironically met with the Sixers this week so congrats to him on being picked by the Nets and then held hostage until the Sixers pony up 4 second round picks. Bane is a stout, 6'6 guard who looks like he hasn't had a carb since 2004. Dude can absolutely shoot the rock. He's improved his defense and ballhandling and in his final year at TCU, shot a little over 45% from the floor. Factor in the customary Sixers player regression and 40% is still not too shabby! I know what you're thinking and yes, it is illegal for the Sixers to draft a player who can dribble and shoot but what the hell let's be rebels for once guys.
Charity Spotlight
The Black Women in Sport Foundation was initially founded to help increase black women's presence in all aspects of sports including coaching & administration. The BWS of Philadelphia in recent years has extended beyond that and works to involve young girls and boys in programs throughout the region. Take a look, and read more about how you can support them!
The Rest From The Best
Get ready to let that shit fly, Tobi! Mike O'Connor runs down what a Mike D'Antoni hiring would mean for each player on this (current) Sixers roster. Brought to you by the great Touchstone Electric Fireplaces (code TTP for 15% off), and our official pet foot, By Nature Slow Cooked with Superfusion Pet Food (use code RTRS20 at Chewy).
We asked for sports back and we really had no clue what the hell we were talking about and probably should have just left well enough alone but such is Philadelphia sports life. In today's installment, Andrew Unterberger wants to know if the Sixers or Phillies had a more soul crushing season. Brought to you by Kinetic Skateboarding.
This current iteration of the SIxers front office is the embodiment of the gift that keeps on giving. Don't believe me? Let Sixers Adam walk you down memory lane and through the seven teams who've benefitted directly from the front office collab. Brought to you by Adam Ksebe, the Process Realtor.
