It's Finally Here
On June 8th, as Spike was driving home from work, he had an idea. The idea was to put his dog, Rebel, in a person's shirt, make the collars look big, and put it on Instagram with a caption that said something about it being a "normal collar." It all happened, but it didn't stop there.
Weeks later, he reached out to our designer Tanner Lowry, with an idea for a t-shirt based on said photo. Tanner came up with something great, I put it on the Ricky Instagram for National Mutt Day, and that was that. Until now.
Thanks to our good friends at The Colony Meadery ($5 off with promo code RICKY) and LL Pavorsky, everyone who joins the Ricky team for the Providence AC Bark In The Park will get the shirt on the day of the 5K. You have to join the Ricky team by midnight on October 18th. You can be a runner, a walker, a dog walker (virtual runners don't count). Join the team at this link.
Don't worry, if you already joined the team we'll be reaching out to you with an email to get your size, you'll get a shirt. Bark In The Park is October 27th at Rose Tree Park in Media, PA. We've raised $8,500 so far (thank you!), but the goal is $10,000. We have 45 team members so far (thank you!), but the goal is 100.
It's great to get the shirt, and we'll love wearing them, but the best part is we'll be raising money for the excellent people at Providence Animal Center, so they can help homeless dogs and cats find loving homes.
Ways To Waste Time At Work
You can go back and read the column that AU wrote about why the Sixers will win a million games this year. While you're waiting for Mike (Klutch employee) to finish his Ben Simmons show, you can watch all of the episodes of Trial & Error. You could take a few bucks and donate to our other charity for this year, Coded By Kids. There is a new Spike podcast that Mike will never acknowledge the existence of called Art Of The Take with (WIP's own) Jack Fritz and Joe Giglio. And if you're at work in time this morning, you can check out the second half of the Sixers game from China.
