MIKE WON'T LIKE THIS
You've got until Friday to make your votes for the first ever Process Hall of Fame induction, but Andrew Unterberger has already cast his ballot. Chances are, Mike isn't going to be a huge fan of it.
AU is making his ballot public, and explaining his choices for the three categories (person, Sixers moment, Ricky moment). We finally find out where he ranks Mike getting a real microphone, Joel Embiid, and the Sixers almost winning a game a few years ago.
Check out the Unterberger ballot (brought to us by Kinetic Skateboarding, get 9.1% off your first order with promo code DAVESILVER), and then cast your own. You only have until Friday to make your vote.
Ben Detrick Finally Talks To Us
Ben Detrick wrote the article that eventually got Bryan Colangelo fired. You'd think he'd be on the Ricky bragging about it within about 13 minutes, but that was not the case.
It took us a couple of months, but Detrick finally appeared on the podcast with the guys for over an hour. Listen to the podcast for Ben's answer to important questions like, "which burner was your favorite?"
The podcast also features an incredibly absurd, hilarious intro from our favorite Bill Simmons impersonator.
You Can Sit On Stage For Dario's Arrival
It wouldn't be a Ricky event without some ridiculous sponsor involvement. First, Kornblau was fielding calls about VIP tickets. Next, we've decided to put a couple of Big Barker therapeutic dog beds up on stage for Live Ricky III (9/22 at the Electric Factory), that a lucky couple of people will get to sit on during the show. You'll actually see Dario come over from the stage. All you have to do is be in the crowd for the show that night, and we'll pick two people to come sit on stage (hint: you have to be in the building to win).
LL is trying to angle to have someone surprise-marry Dario.
Speaking of tickets, the VIP tickets sold out in about seven minutes, and the general admission (it's GA but everyone gets a seat!) tickets aren't far behind. The show is all ages, and will feature Dario on stage, the Process Hall of Fame inductions, and some surprises we'll announce and some we won't. Get your tickets before they're gone.
This, That and The Other
Congratulations to the Providence Animal Center for their all-time record of 121 adoptions for Clear The Shelters day on Saturday. Clear The Shelters is a great cause, but the center misses out on thousands of dollars in adoption fees, so if you've got a spare few bucks consider donating. You can also join the Ricky team for Bark In The Bark on October 27th. We've got 17 team members and we're aiming for a hundred.
Both Providence AC and the great Coded By Kids will be at Live Ricky III. We're excited for them to see the weirdness in person.
Mike will be in Long Island on September 8th for a viewing of his show Alive In Denver on September 8th. You can join him for it, but he hasn't told me how yet. So just tweet him and ask.
We're getting dangerously close to 2,000 five-star ratings and reviews on Apple Podcasts, and dangerously close to another four-hour-long podcast featuring speaking reading those reviews that nobody really wants. Do your part.
