Are They Getting Kawhi Or Not?
Normally at this point in the Summer the guys would be interviewing urban farmers who happen to be Sixers fans and working on that elusive second interview with Chuck Klosterman so they can awkwardly ask him how many minutes he thinks TJ might get next year. But the Sixers went and got good so instead here we all are waiting to see if they get LeBron or Kawhi Leonard. We're not sure which reality we like better.
Mike's 2018-19 Sixers Roster
On a late night Wednesday pod, Mike broke down his imaginary 2018-19 Sixers roster, spot by spot, including a trade for an All-Star level player. Listen to it along with their takes on Leonard trades, Fultz videos, and Bamba #5.
Zhaire Smith Deep Dive
Spike's official analysis on why he likes Zhaire Smith is that he sorta looks like John Starks. Mike O'Connor of The Athletic did a much more detailed job of what Smith's role could look like on the Sixers this year. In "he looks like news," Mike also claims that Landy Shamet sorta looks like Spike. You be the judge.
Better Off Without Colangelo
It might seem obvious that the Sixers are better off without Bryan Colangelo, but going into draft night without a real GM was pretty scary. AU wrote why he's now sure the Sixers are better off without The Collar.
9.1% Off Vans, Adidas, Converse, Nike
We've got a new sponsor! Kinetic Skateboard Shop (and their owner Ben) have been long supporters of the Ricky and now they're part of the sponsor family. They'll be sponsoring all of Unterberger's appearances on the pod.
Not only do they have everything you'd need if you skate, but for non-skaters (or people who wish they were skaters) they've got a great selection of clothes, and sneakers like Vans, Converse, Adidas, and hard to find Nikes. Check them out and use promo code DAVESILVER for 9.1% off your first order (they'll even round it up to 10% for you).
Thank you for all of your support of our sponsors. It's been outrageous. What we love is that they're all like us, big fans (and haters sometimes) of the team, and have all lived through the last five years together. Some podcasts have Patreons (which is cool), but we sort of like this ecosystem, and your support of them supports us.
So thank you, and thanks of course to LL Pavorsky Jewelers, Kornblau & Kornblau, Big Barker Dog Beds, The Colony Meadery and Kinetic. We couldn't do it without you (we could, there just wouldn't be any money).
Five Years of The Ricky
July 10th marks the five year anniversary of the very first Rights To Ricky Sanchez podcast. We have no idea how to celebrate because we just noticed it (thanks Misha!). If you have any ideas, shoot us an email at rightstorickysanchez@gmail.com.
