Ricky: Postseason Edition
I've realized I need to calibrate my excitement levels, because as the Fresh Legs contingent of the podcast will tell you, it's a long playoffs, I gotta pace myself. So I will just say: 17 games in a row, and the first-ever Process Sixers playoff win. Without Embiid. This team is incredible. Click the player link below to listen to the pod or scroll down to subscribe. The boys have decided to give it a go doing a pod after each playoff game. The only rule is that one of them must be barely conscious. That's what makes for good radio.
SPEAKING OF GOOD RADIO, the great James Herbert (@outsidethenba) wrote an incredibly flattering and strangely legitimizing column about The Rights To Ricky Sanchez podcast (said the name fully in honor of James doing so) where he chronicled the pod's beginnings, and what is to come, with quotes from Embiid, Redick, TJ, Sharp, LL, among others. We're growns up! READ IT HERE.
We have some other reading material for you as well. Spike cooked up a Brett Brown COY take that he's been fuming over for a while.Â
Never one to turn down an opportunity to anger a national audience, Mike wrote his Process opus for DIME Uproxx. A little more Andrew Bynum than I can handle, but give it a read and reflect on where we came from.
Mentioned in this pod is our friend Shamus Clancy's Process article, which takes a different angle of attack on the "we were right" front. Read it and, well, reflect on where we came from.
WEDDING STUFF: Go to rightstorickysanchez.com/weddingvote to determine who you think deserves to get married by Pablo Torre at the Lottery Party. We're not against campaigning if you're on of the four final couples.Â
And as always, the best postseason content is available at The Athletic. Use the Ricky discount to get an even better deal. We're telling you, it's worth it.
Hell of a time. We'll be back for more after Game Two... tonight. Pace yourselves! Keep those legs supple and fresh!
A week left of the Lottery Party t-shirts being available.  The TOO GOOD shirt is just staring you right in the face.  Obligatory t-shirt fabric or imprinting factoid here.
