[09.03.16] Sixer Things: Talking With Sixers Fan & Theoretical Physicist Sean Carroll
We talked to theoretical physicist Sean Carroll about his love of the Sixers, and whether or not we're living in a simulation.
Have you ever wondered if what we're living in is real, or a simulation created by more advanced beings?
Have you ever considered that maybe, just maybe, there are millions and millions of alternate realities happening at the very same time as ours, that exist parallel to our world?
Is the science in The Martian, Interstellar and Stranger Things even close to real science?
It's Sean Carroll's job to think about these things and try to figure them out. Also, for some reason, he likes to think about the Sixers as well. He joined us on the podcast for an offseason that's getting increasingly too smart for our own good.
Carroll is a theoretical physicist at Caltech, and author of the new(ish) book, The Big Picture. He's also got a blog called Preposterous Universe.
Visit his blog, buy his book, and then be by far the smartest (or strangest) guy at any party. Opening up a conversation will either make you seem super interesting or make someone run away.
