The Opening Tip
Happy Thursday, It's the Corner Three!
Congrats to the Bucks, now it's time, again, just like every offseason, for the most important offseason in Sixers history to commence.
Let's Roll!
You've tried alcoholic seltzers before. They're FINE, but they're not as good as everyone says, until this one. Stateside Vodka Sodas are just built different. Just fruit juice, vodka, and seltzer water. That's it. Get a party back now and give them a try.
There is no added sugar, no artificial colors or flavors, no gluten, nothing. There is no weird aftertaste that sort of makes it taste like cough medicine. Four great flavors, orange, pineapple, black cherry, and lemon-cucumber mint. An eight-can party pack that has two of each is just $19.99, as long as you're 21 or older.
Oh Yeah,The Sixers
5 Big Offseason Questions!
1. How do you feel/thoughts on the Bucks reaching the mountain top?
I genuinely don't begrudge them and am happy for Giannis and most obviously Jrue, the first Process champion. When you get into the playoffs and get deep enough as the conference finals and finals, the name of the game is just survival and while it wasn't pretty by any means, they did just that. More importantly, they had a leader that just didn't let them lose and they had guys around him who carried the gang when he was out. If anything it just made me hate the Sixers even more so good for me, bad for them.
2. Likelihood we see a Dame and/or Beal trade this offseason
With Dame seemingly unwilling or just not sure how to say get me the fuck out of here, and things oddly quiet on the Beal front, I think likelihood right now is at 30% either or. That could change in a heartbeat though, I think both players are motivated to win now and are seriously losing confidence quick that it'll be with their current teams.
3. Do you think the Sixers pick at 28 next week?
I very much don't. I'm not sure it's in the form of a Ben trade (which I do still expect, maybe just not in the next 7 days) but I think Daryl Morey pulls the trigger on something that involves the 28th and maybe another draft asset.
4. If things do stay status quo, is there a need(s) you'd like to see addressed specifically?
With such a win now mentality, or atleast presumed win now mentality, I think grabbing guys who are ready contributors will be key. I'm already spoiled by Tyrese Maxey's surge from beginning to playoffs so I'll temper my expectations of the newest guy being able to do that but if they can catch lightning again it'll go a long way in building the right kind of team around Joel Embiid.
5. We talked a ton about possible Ben trades, any chance Tobias Harris gets shipped out?
I certainly think so. If it's one thing this league has shown us time after time it's that there's no such thing as an untradeable contract. So I think if the front office were to do their due diligence they'd surely find a team or two that sees Tobias as a positive asset, it would obviously hinge on them considering the potential return player(s) to be an immediate upgrade and better fit around the big guy.
The Rest From The Best
There's always a first. Andrew Unterberger salutes Jrue Holiday, the first true Process champion.
The Horford parting gift (no not a picture of him clapping) turned out to be an $8.2 Million trade exception. Our guy Sixers Adam let us in on how the Sixers could possibly cash in on it this offseason.
Just in case you needed anymore convincing, Mike O'Connor reminds us that the time is now and if Dame is available, go get him at all costs.
