This Week In The Pod
The Sixers are trying to kill us all (evergreen). The guys talked Ben injury, Tobias not getting to the line enough and take some mailbag questions.
Then last night the OKC pick conveyed mid-pod. Might be worth checking the YouTube version for this one.

Oh Yeah,The Sixers
Whatever.
Some stuff on Brett Brown:
He's probably not the coach of this team next year and that's honestly OK. He was hired at the time because Sam Hinkie thought he was the right person to lead the current iteration of the Sixers through the Process era and that he certainly did. A look at this roster that he was given/helped put together and how it takes years off our lives just watching them get into an offensive set speaks volumes and its enough to throw your hands and "Shirley Temple Did This" tee in the air.
Some of us are attached to Brett because he was OUR guy, Hinkie's guy, came to the Live Ricky and bought us all a beer etc. and that's cool as shit but of yet hasn't translated to a trip past the second round of the playoffs. I'm still not sure what this front office will do in a shortened offseason and am well aware that the problems facing the Sixers don't start and end with Brett, but if they do decide to pull the trigger I'll be sure to give him a virtual ovation next year when he's introduced as coach of the Wizards.
Some stuff on Tobias Harris:
I love and respect him. I just wish he got to the line more. Drawing fouls is certainly a skill, but I'm not quite sure how one can become good at it without repeatedly attempting it in live action. The Sixers over paid for him in the initial trade and probably did the same when he hit free agency last summer (although everyone overpays in free agency if you ask me) so he'll always draw the ire of some but his contributions will be no more important than when beantown comes calling in a few days.
Some stuff on everyone else:
Josh Richardson woke up offensively against Portland so hopefully signs of more to come, but he still looks weird defensively, like all over the place in a bad way though.
Joel Embiid played last night in a game that was meaningless for both teams but it was awesome to see the big fella back with both ankles still attached. Playoffs here we come.
So good to see Mike Scott get some quality minutes and hit a few shots. All hands on deck is so overused but going up against the Celtics and their parade of wings will certainly require the best from everyone Brett Brown decides to play.
Al Horford ($100 Million) has looked fine and even semi-comfortable in lineups with Embiid so the Boston series is either going to be the Horford Revenge tour or the Sacramento goodbye.
The Rest From The Best
Seriously, why can't Tobias draw more fouls?! Mike O'Connor did the lord's work for us and dove a little deeper on this weird shit from a weird ass team.
Ben Simmons is hurt and the hopes and dreams of a life beyond the second round lie soley on the shoulders of number twenty-one. Andrew Unterberger says it's time for a healthy, hungry and motivated Joel Embiid to show us what he's got.
Sixers Adam, always a finger on the pulse, got some of Team Ricky together for a roundtable for some insight into playoff Sixers and life without Ben Simmons as the hunt for Bubble Hostage O'Brien trophy begins.
Peace, Love and Process
Love Ya'll. Beat Boston. Respect Women and Wear a damn mask, it's looking real post-pandemic outside, tighten up.
